Save Hard-Earned Cash With Weatherization Assistance Available Through Local Weatherization Agencies At No Cost
Missouri residents may be able to save hard-earned cash by learning if they qualify for a no-cost weatherization assistance program now being offered through local weatherization agencies in cooperation with our state and federal governments.
The weatherization assistance program is available to families of two who earned $29,420 or less last year; to families of three who earned $37,060 or less last year; and to families of four who earned $44,700 or less. Families of other sizes can qualify for the program as well, and we encourage local residents to call us at (573)522-6353 for details.
The typical Missouri household can save as much as $437 each year with this weatherization assistance. These energy efficient measures may include adding insulation to walls and attics as well as weather-stripping windows and doors, among other steps.
Professionally trained local crews use the latest energy audit technologies to identify the best energy-saving steps for each home.
Weatherization works for Missouri, and for local residents. We encourage local residents to call or visit us at www.dnr.mo.gov/mowxworks for details, and to recommend the program to their relatives, friends and neighbors.
Interested residents who may qualify will be asked to complete a simple application form and provide documentation to verify residency and eligibility. Residents should expect a pre-inspection of their home to determine eligibility and the specific weatherization steps that will produce the greatest energy savings.
The Missouri Division of Energy monitors the work of our approved contractors to ensure state and federal safety guidelines are followed.
